A Milestone for Latin Music
Marco Antonio Solís has made history as the only Hispanic artist to receive two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The legendary singer-songwriter first earned the honor in 2010 for his extraordinary solo career. Today, he has been recognized once again—this time alongside his iconic band, Los Bukis—with the 2,817th star in the Recording category, located at 7060 Hollywood Boulevard.
Los Bukis: Pioneers of a Musical Movement
Formed in 1973 by Marco Antonio Solís and his cousin Joel Solís, Los Bukis reshaped Latin music with a distinctive sound that blended heartfelt ballads, poetic lyrics, and traditional Mexican influences.

In the 1980s and 1990s, Los Bukis conquered some of the most prestigious stages in the world, performing at venues such as Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and Mexico’s Auditorio Nacional.
Among their milestones, the band earned the first-ever Diamond album in the history of Mexican and Latin American music, along with multiple Grammy nominations that solidified their international acclaim.
In 2021, after a 25-year hiatus, Los Bukis reunited for the historic tour “Una Historia Cantada”, becoming the first Latin artists to headline a stadium tour in the United States. The tour sold out iconic venues, including the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and concluded with a memorable finale at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca.
Most recently, they made history once again with the first-ever all-Spanish residency in Las Vegas, performing 14 consecutive sold-out shows that underscored their enduring popularity and cross-generational influence.

Un Nuevo Capítulo en la Música Latina
Marco Antonio Solís ha escrito una página dorada en la historia de la música. Al convertirse en el único artista hispano con dos estrellas en el Paseo de la Fama de Hollywood. La primera le fue otorgada en el 2010 por su brillante carrera como solista. Y ahora ha sido honrado nuevamente, esta vez junto a su legendaria agrupación Los Bukis. Con la estrella número 2,817 en la categoría de Grabación, ubicada frente al 7060 de Hollywood Boulevard.

En 2021, tras 25 años de ausencia, Los Bukis regresaron a los escenarios con su histórica gira “Una Historia Cantada”. Para convertirse en los primeros artistas latinos en realizar una gira de estadios en Estados Unidos. Y esto con presentaciones completamente agotadas en recintos como el SoFi Stadium de Los Ángeles. Esto aunado a un cierre memorable en el Estadio Azteca de Ciudad de México.
Recientemente, hicieron historia nuevamente con la primera residencia completamente en español en Las Vegas. Donde hicieron 14 fechas consecutivas que confirmaron su poder de convocatoria.
