Water and Land: The compatibility between the elements
We let our imagination run wild and decided this time to try some of the most important amenities that this hotel offers: Surf & Golf. On the first day we took our own private surf lessons, and on the second one we played golf at the legendary golf course (ranked among Golf Digest’s “Top 75 Courses in North America”).
Dejamos volar nuestra imaginación y decidimos esta vez probar algo diferente– tratando dos de los servicios más importantes que este hotel ofrece: Surf & Golf. El primer día tomamos nuestras propias clases privadas de surf y el segundo jugamos golf en el legendario campo de golf (clasificado dentro de los Top 75 campos por el “Golf Digest”).
Water: One-of-a-kind surf for beginners!
Anxious to learn something new, we met early with surf instructor, Morgan Baer and his team of professionals at the Surf School by Billabong at the Beach Club Believe or not, we were standing up on the board on our fourth attempt. The techniques and instructions provided by Morgan makes everything fun and easier. We recommend to beginners taking classes in groups for extra fun! The activities include: surfing, standing up, paddle boarding, surf contest and ocean awareness, among others.
This multi-sensory experience taught us something very important– balance is everything in life!
Deseosos de aprender, nos reunimos temprano con el instructor de surf, Morgan Baer y su equipo en la Escuela de Surf de Billabong en el Beach Club . Creánlo o no, nos paramos en nuestras tablas en el cuarto intento. Las técnicas proporcionadas por Morgan hacen que todo sea diversión. Recomendamos a los principiantes tomar clases en grupos para que la diversión sea extra. Las actividades incluyen: surfing, pararse, paddle, campeonato de surf y conciencia sobre el océano, entre otros.

Land: Golf Vacations!
The next day and just a short shuttle ride from Boca Beach Club, we were ready at 8:30 AM for the 18-hole championship course. Our experience began as soon as we walked on to the beautifully maintained links with all skill levels–including a signature water feature designed by Hugh Hughes. This resort course gave us an amazing, challenging game! If you are a golf lover, we recommend this destination as an unforgettable golf getaway.
Al día siguiente y a un corto shuttle ride desde Boca Beach Club–estuvimos listos a las 8:30 a.m. para el campo de golf de 18 hoyos. Nuestra experiencia comenzó tan pronto como entramos en los muy bien cuidados links con todos los niveles de habilidad (incluyendo la fuente de agua diseñada por Hugh Hughes). Definitivamente, este resort course nos dió un increíble y desafiante juego.

Dine & Wine
We couldn’t finish this review without sharing our fine dining experience at Lucca Restaurant. This Mediterranean style restaurant overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway with an open kitchen that serves inventive Tuscan cuisine, and the list of award-winning wines is to die for! We tried the scallops picatta served with caramelized spaghetti squash and lemon sage brown butter along with the Prosecco and the exquisite Tiramisu as desert–“Bravissimi!”

Este restaurante de estilo mediterráneo con vistas al “Intracoastal Waterway” tiene una cocina abierta que sirve comida creativa de la Toscana y la lista de vinos ha ganado premios. Probamos las vieiras “picatta” servidas con espagueti caramelizados de calabacín y mantequilla morena al limón–tomamos Prosecco y el exquisito tiramisú como postre – “Bravissimi”.
