On October 12, 2014 Mercantil Commercebank celebrated its 35th year anniversary with the inaugural concert of the Donald J. Trump Ballroom at the Trump National Doral Miami, featuring The Miami Symphony Orchestra with virtuoso pianist Lola Astanova.
The concert that was under the direction of our beloved music director and conductor, Eduardo Marturet, and sponsored by the Park Foundation hosted a fabulous red carpet affair that gathered the most important celebrities from show business and the fashion industry, along with the most influential people from our community.
Astanova who is considered the Lady Gaga of classical music impressed the audience again with her performance (Rachmaninov – Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43) along with her glamour on stage— the talented Russian-American pianist sees fashion as an extension of her creativity.
After the concert, Astanova received a special recognition award from the mayor and the city council along with our maestro Eduardo Marturet.
Red Carpet, Fashionistas & More…
The fashion statement was made by Mrs. Athina Klioumi Marturet, who hit the red carpet with an exclusive gown designed by Lisu Vega. The gorgeous dress had printed sheet music by maestro Eduardo Marturet.
Rumor has it that Mr. and Mrs. Marturet are planning a fashion collaboration with Lisu Vega to be launched at the next concert in honor of the BEATLES on November 16th, 2014.
