Last Saturday, Miami’s own designer and contestant of the hit Lifetime show, Project Runway Season 14 and All Stars season 6, Merline Labissiere, was in town to debut her avant-garde couture collection at the intimate ArtHood56 gallery.
The fashion presentation that was in collaboration with the popular singer, songwriter, producer John Knight and underwater cinematographer, Alexandra Rivas showcased a black and white fashion collection with pieces that infuses architectural form and the essence of fashion, through couture and Avant-garde pieces.
Black & White Affair
The event gathered important personalities of our city, along with influencers, editors, fashion lovers and followers of Labissiere. Attendees wore their best fashions in black and white formal attire– giving the atmosphere a fashionable flair.
The talented designer who always promotes to give back to the community gave a portion of all the proceeds to the Provokestyle Fashion Camp, a non-profit organization that teaches fashion in Little Haiti and Liberty City in Florida.
At present, Labissiere has become a celebrated designer in the Sunshine State and Miami since her success in Project Runway Season 14 where she made it to the Top 5 and later was invited to present a collection during Fashion Week in New York.
