Sports Illustrated Magazine Takes Over Miami with “Swim Beach” Event

A bevy of SI swimsuit models ditched the NYC winter storms and fled south to Miami to complete the second leg of their trip to kick off the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2016 issue. On Feb. 17, Sport Illustrated and 1 Hotel South Beach hosted “Swim Beach” Sports Illustrated Fan Festival where the eager masses got a glimpse of their favorite SI models, including 2016 cover girls Ashley Graham and Hailey Clauson. Aussie provided on-site styling and gave touch-ups to models at the Aussie Beach Bungalow at 1 Hotel South Beach including Chrissy Teigen, who was chatting about her pregnancy and cravings; a very gracious Gigi Hadid showing one fan how to take the perfect selfie; Blonde SI vixen Erin Heatherton commenting how the 2016 SI Swim issue is “all about T&A” – and that she’s definitely “a T girl” as it’s her strongest “asset”.

More than 20 SI models walked the red carpet later including Lily Aldridge, Nina Agdal, Samantha Hoopes, Chanel Iman, Hannah Davis, Barbara Palvin, Bo Krsmanovic, Emily DiDonato, Kate Bock, Kelly Rohrboc, Robyn Lawley, Rose Betram and Sofia Resing. There were SO many models in fact that 7-time SI swim vet Chrissy Teigen – eight months pregnant was overheard joking that the red carpet was “slower than the one at The Grammy’s.”  Teigen flaunted her lush curves in a skin-tight black midi halter dress with revealing lace-up sides, telling a reporter she “can smell chocolate in the air,” and that she was “naturally the one most looking forward to the barbecue” at 1 Hotel South Beach served by STK at the cocktail party that followed.  The action continued until February 18 with day two of “Swim Beach” Sports Illustrated Fan Festival, followed by a private night cruise.

Un grupo de modelos de traje de baño de la revista “Sport Illustrared” se liberaron de las tormentas de invierno de Nueva York y huyeron hacia el sur a nuestra ciudad de Miami para completar la segunda etapa de su tour que dio comienzo a la edición de “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2016”. El 17 de febrero, Sports Illustrated y 1 Hotel South Beach lanzaron el evento “Sports Illustrated Fan Festival” donde las masas ansiosas pudieron echar un vistazo de cerca a sus modelos preferidas de esta afamada revista, incluyendo a las chicas Ashley Graham y Hailey Clauson, quienes fueron la portada del 2016. Aussie proporcionó sus estilos y dio los retoques a las modelos en su búngalo “Aussie Beach” en el “1 Hotel South Beach” aunado a Chrissy Teigen, quien estuvo charlando sobre su embarazo y sus antojitos; una muy gentil Gigi Hadid mostró a uno de sus fans como tomar el perfecto selfie; la rubia, Erin Heatherton comentó sobre el tema de la edición del “2016 Swim” – y aseguró ser definitivamente una “T girl” y que eso era su fuerte “activo”.

Había tantas modelos que Chrissy Teigen, quien ya tiene ocho meses de embarazo, escuchó a quienes bromeaban que la alfombra roja fue “más lenta que la de los Grammy.” Teigen hizo alarde de sus exuberantes curvas en un ceñido, midi-vestido halter en color negro con reveladores lados con cordones, mientras le decía a un reportero que “podía oler el chocolate en el ambiente”, y que ella era “naturalmente la más guapa de este barbecue” en el 1 Hotel South Beach, servida por el restaurant “STK” durante el cóctel de recepción que siguió después.
