Enrique Iglesias and two of the most important athletes in Spain’s history, Rafael Nadal and Pau Gasol announced the international expansion of TATEL, bringing the iconic Spanish restaurant to the heart of Miami Beach’s Art Deco District.
Opening in March 2017, TATEL Miami is the second location for the Spanish brand, and is located at 1669 Collins Avenue.
“Having seen TATEL grow and succeed in Madrid, it couldn’t make me happier to bring it to my home, Miami” says Spanish global superstar and partner of TATEL, Enrique Iglesias.
The restaurant was created with the intent to build global awareness for traditional Spanish cuisine and culture.

TATEL Miami will offer a mix of traditional Spanish cuisine along with modern variations on the classics. Executive Chef Nicolas Mazier, former Executive Chef of NOBU Miami, will lead TATEL Miami’s culinary team and carry out the menu created by TATEL Madrid’s Executive Team.
Chef Nicolas will be adding locally inspired dishes to the menu that are exclusive to the Miami location including Ceviche Mediterraneo de Dorada, Sea Bass ceviche served with sweet mango dressing, and Gambas al Ajillo, lightly sautéed red prawn with Spanish extra virgin olive oil and fresh garlic.

TATEL Miami will also offer their delicious homemade Spanish desserts including Flan de queso, Brie cheese flan served with caramel and whipped cream, and Torrija, milk infused brioche, caramelized and served with artisanal fresh milk ice cream.
Head Bartender Angelo Cansino will be leading the mixology program showcasing signature cocktails, including the Verano De TATEL.
Bringing guests closer to the cultural roots…
STUDIO GRONDA, led by international and award winning designer Diego Gronda, has once again been tapped by the international restaurant brand to create the first TATEL in the United States.
This restaurant will be the only restaurant with an exclusive and historic porte cochère on this street, allowing diners to be dropped off at the foot of the restaurant’s entrance. At the entrance of the restaurant is an enormous double height cylindrical room where a circular island bar is located and in the center of this space is a sculptural metal chandelier composed of over a thousand bronze tubes and illuminated by hundreds of LED lights above the bar.
The 200-seat restaurant has a main dining room with double height ceiling, semi-private dining rooms and a private dining room with a private bathroom. At the back of the main dining area is a large semicircular copper DJ booth and stage for live entertainment. The original black terrazzo floors of the former hotel lobby with mother-of-pearl details were rebuilt through an elaborate process. Art is an intrinsic part of the TATEL´s culture. The walls on the sides of the great dining room display contemporary interpretations of Spanish inspired art. This casual attitude towards the great masters will provide an informal atmosphere and bring guests closer to the cultural roots of the brand.
