Wilhelmina Models is giving back to the Miami community by dedicating their weekend to spreading love and positivity by partnering with various local charities and encouraging others to do the same.
On March 12, 2017, the models stopped by “Paws 4 You” a non-profit, volunteer animal rescue organization based in Miami, Florida. Their top priority is to save dogs from euthanasia at Miami-Dade Animal Services, where more than 27,000 unwanted pets end up each year.
This organization rescues animals whom are sick, injured, homeless, or simply lost. They give these animals not only a home but professional medical care, hope and lots of love.
Their animals are sterilized, vaccinated and ID micro-chipped to prevent from future loss. Additionally, they believe in giving people the value of education pertaining to the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. Pet overpopulation is a serious problem here in Miami-Dade. They provide adoption, foster, boarding and volunteer opportunities.
Wilhelmina Models at Work
From dog bathing to building dog beds, it was a busy day filled with a lot of activities to do. Model Talie Haulber from Naples said “I’m used to doing this” as she was giving one of the pups Kiki a walk. “Back home I dog sit other people’s dogs” she said.
Other’s took turns giving dogs a nice bath, and of course petting and taking pictures with these adorable pups! “Paws 4 You” carries about 60 to sometimes 90 dogs at their location.
Gladly, it’s a big place with lots of room for the dogs to walk and roam around. Even better, they even have a dog VIP area with nice beds with a glass door and air conditioner.
