Miami’s own designer, Lisu Vega, launched “The Beast” SS/2015 Collection during New York Fashion Week.

After Vega won the Eastern Air lines Flight Attendant Competition at Miami Fashion Week, she was selected for “The Fashionista” and “Before The Label” to show part of her most recent ready-to-wear collection.

The contemporary designer presented her latest collection inspired by transportation (the freight train that passes through Mexico)–this infamous train, also known as “The Death Train”, is used by U.S. bound Central American migrants trying to quickly traverse the length of Mexico.

The collection was comprised by 20 pieces including handmade headpieces. The music of her fashion presentation was by Elodie Milo along with accessories by Tarbay (another talented Venezuelan designer) and Melissa shoes.

Vega has dedicated herself to create her own particular pattern and design, based on multiple inspirations, such as: music, art and life. These themes have formed the development of the patterns of her designs.
