Lily Noches & fashion in Miami
The fashion collection presented by Noches featured art by Colombian artist, Douglas Mendoza and 50 % of the sales were donated to The Buonicontti Fund to Cure Paralysis.
Miami Fashion Spotlight got an exclusive interview with the beautiful designer during which she talked about Art Basel, her new collection, fashion in Miami and more. Check it out!
Miami Fashion Spotlight: What do you think about fashion in Miami?
Lily Noches: I love it! We have amazing weather that allows for a lot of creativity, without having to cover everything up. I love the bright colors; my favorite pieces are the bodycon dresses. I mean it’s fantastic!
Art Basel, Douglas Mendoza & the Buoniconti Fund…
MFS: What do you like about Art Basel, so far?
LN: Oh, my goodness, I’m excited because I’m blessed that Art Miami donated a booth for us to benefit “The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis”. We are collaborating and launching our Spring/Summer 2018 collection. It is a collection that incorporates art into the pieces. We feature a different artist for every collection. I wanted to collaborate for a long time with this artist, Douglas Mendoza, who is from Colombian and happens to be my cousin!
MFS: Tell us a little about your new collection?
LN: In this collection, all the pieces are removable, detachable, reversible, and they allow you to style your dress in a different way every season or month, if we put out embellishment. We could also remove them and spice up your piece, but all the pieces are classic designs that you could wear forever.
MFS: In conclusion, what are you hoping for fashion lovers to take away from your new collection?
LN: I think to be inspired and to be free, adventurous, artistic, and not to be afraid. The beauty is if you want to be more conservative and classic, then you could wear my pieces all in black. Because like I stated earlier, my pieces are removable. You could also wear my pieces all in white to represent Miami because locals here wear a lot of white. So, with your little black dress or your little white dress it’s going to be super interesting and exciting!
