FENDI Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 Collection: As FENDI approaches its centennial milestone, the legendary fashion house embraces nostalgia while charting a path toward a vibrant future. Silvia Venturini Fendi, Artistic Director of Accessories and Menswear, envisions FENDI as a captivating time capsule, reflecting decades and destinations with Italian craftsmanship as its guiding star. The Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection celebrates the universal, reimagining iconic House codes that predate FENDI’s first men’s silhouette in 1990. These wardrobe staples are reinvented, presenting soft expressions of contemporary masculinity through the lens of modern luxury.

A Celebration of Colors and The Selleria Stitch

In this collection, the concept of uniforms for work and play is deconstructed and reinvented, embracing powdery shades. A mineral palette of sherbet, mist, ivory, caramel, buttermilk, soft blues, natural indigo, black, and forest green blend harmoniously. Elements of sportswear and ceremonial attire come together, giving rise to the FENDI Club concept, proudly displayed like a fantasy coat-of-arms on breast pockets and buttons. From head to toe, the collection showcases the mastery of the Selleria stitch—a technique passed down to the Fendi family by Roman master saddlers in 1925. This stitch is skillfully scaled and reinterpreted as a broken pinstripe suiting jacquard, woven as a stripe or tonal FF logo through linen and plush textures, applied as a surface on Japanese boro denim, or reduced to a minimalist frame on crisp wool outerwear and leather goods. These subtle volumes evoke whispers of the past, with ample cloth bomber jackets, fluid trench coats, and 3-button blazers paired with loose-cut slashed trousers.

Contoured Details and Airy Modularity

The collection pushes the boundaries of traditional garments with contoured details that add a twist of modernity. Poplin shirt sleeves are slashed at the elbow, allowing them to be worn long or short. Polo plackets twist from throat to rib, while asymmetric silk knits unbutton down the shoulder, creating an airy modularity. Pleated shorts find companionship with long patch-pocket overshirts, adorned with silk ties and layered beneath short summer jackets in tonal combinations of linen, leather, Madras check cotton, and ultralight suede.

Accessories: The Perfect Complement

The Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 Accessories collection seamlessly complements the season’s Selleria obsession. From the Peekaboo ISeeU Soft bag and supple diagonal shoppers to the new zippered Baguette Double crossbody bag and a patchwork Baguette crafted from multi-colored offcuts from the FENDI ateliers, each accessory showcases meticulous craftsmanship. Whipstitch details grace the season’s contrast paneled FENDI Force sneakers, alongside molded lug-sole loafers and patent leather or wax thread-embroidered slip-on flats.

The highly anticipated FENDI Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show takes place within the 7000sqm Open Studio at Super Studio Maxi in Milan, Europe’s first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold®-certified event space. Designed by Nico Vascellari, the minimalist set features six mirror columns, mobile monoliths that track the models’ path throughout the show, creating infinite corridors and reflections. Accompanying the collection is a custom electronic soundtrack by Vascellari in collaboration with Rocco Rampino, perfectly attuned to the oscillating, romantic beat of the garments and the show’s airy, daylight setting.

Conclusion

FENDI’s Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 Collection effortlessly captures the essence of the brand’s rich heritage while propelling it into the future. With a nod to the past and a vision of contemporary masculinity, this collection showcases the exceptional craftsmanship and timeless elegance that define FENDI. As the brand’s centenary approaches, FENDI continues to reign as a true beacon of Italian luxury and style.

The heraldic crest of the FENDI Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection features a shield divided into four parts, incorporating elements such as the Pequin stripe and FF logo, Janus (the Roman god of beginnings and endings), and the FENDI squirrel—a symbol inspired by a painting gifted to Adele Casagrande Fendi by her husband Edoardo Fendi, who affectionately likened himself to a busy squirrel. Interestingly, this crest captures the essence of FENDI’s rich heritage and imaginative storytelling.
