Naples: A New Powerful Eruption
Naples is the City of the World, always open to diversity, always welcoming. A new powerful eruption is underway in Naples. Day and night, a lava flow of tourists flows along ancient routes and digs new ones. Nobody did anything to attract them, at least not today. The heritage in which people come to immerse themselves has always been there, albeit covered by a canvas as thick as slander and as vast as fear. A gust of optimism was enough to lift it and the city’s treasures began to shine again. But the greatest treasure, however, is the casket that contains them all, the city itself.
The Presence of the Napoli Brand at Pitti Uomo 104
Naples has a very strong and unchanged identity over time, holds the record for the largest UNESCO heritage historic center in Europe, streets and alleys full of history and traditions, breathtaking views, a lively nightlife, excellent cuisine without equal in the world, and a unique and original theatrical lifestyle. The secret of its charm is an attitude towards people and things that becomes a philosophy and finally a style, as recognizable and desirable as it is elusive. It is of this distillation of wisdom and vanity, faith, fatalism and other contrasts, that ‘Le Mani di Napoli’ will speak during the first part of the conference.
“The presence of the Napoli brand on display at the most important and prestigious fashion show in Florence represents a further opportunity to promote our territory. Thanks to the ‘Le Mani di Napoli’ consortium and its master craftsmen in the men’s supply chain, the city presents itself at this important international showcase as the bearer of art and elegance. The manufacturing industry, between craftsmanship and innovation, is among the most representative sectors of the local economy and Pitti Uomo 104 is an unmissable appointment to tell Naples and its talent, in the tailoring field and accessories, in the eyes of the world, confirming the great attractiveness of the Napoli brand in every creative sector,” added Gaetano Manfredi.
Le Mani di Napoli: A Unique Aggregation
“Naples is also expressed in its globally recognized intangible heritage. The latter are kept and transmitted by the great Neapolitan artisans who operate in various sectors, from fashion to food, to crib art. But Naples is also a large university city which celebrates 800 years since its foundation. ‘Le Mani di Napoli’ and Ateneo Federico II have decided to collaborate to promote the heritage of the artisan hands of Naples, for the benefit of the city and the image of our country,” added Matteo Lorito.
“Le Mani di Napoli is the example that alone we run fast but together we go far! A unique aggregation of the know-how of our wonderful city that opens up to the world to make one’s abilities known,” said Antonio De Matteis.
Neapolitan Style
In the second part, however, space will be given to the exhibition of the Disciplinary of Neapolitan tailoring, a document that will revolutionize the sector. After having identified the foundations of the Neapolitan style, ‘Le Mani di Napoli’ undertakes to codify and respect the traditional processes that interpret its spirit, thus achieving results of maximum aesthetic, cultural and material value. Only an authoritative and convinced association could go down this path of transparency which will bring benefits to everyone and damages only to those who thrive on ambiguity.
During the event, awards will be given to the dean tailors: Antonio Liverano, Carmelo Crimi. Plaques in memory of the founders of Calabrese 1924, Sartoria Formosa, Barbarulo Cufflinks.
