On April 12, 2017, a celebration was held at the designer Trina Turk’s store on Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. The event, in commemoration of the fifty-seven years of humanitarian services provided by the Camillus House, was attended by special guests and influential people of our community.

The guests were pampered with champagne and delicious hors d’oeuvres, while they met and greeted the designer and received stylish advice on how to wear the latest Summer collection that Turk presented on site.

In addition, a percentage of the profit was donated to the institution Camillus House that night.

Trina Turk: Fashion and humanitarian sense

Trina Turk is a company founded in 1995 by Trina and her husband, photographer Jonathan Skow, as a line of contemporary clothing for women.  The company has evolved into an iconic lifestyle brand that celebrates California’s style with annual collections of stylish apparel and accessories.

On this special night, the store dedicated recognition to the labor of Camillus House in Miami-Dade. We applaud initiatives like this one that reflect a great example to be followed by large industries in humanitarian matters.

In this way, they contribute to help the development of the work of these institutions dedicated to social work. Trina Turk is an active philanthropist, who contributes to the causes of arts and education, among others.

Camillus House is a shelter for the needy that offers continuous attention and support to people with fewer resources and those who are homeless. Every service they offer carries the belief that every human is precious and deserves love, respect, and a worthy life opportunity.
