September brought plenty of rain across the city, refreshing our gardens and filling the air with that unmistakable scent of nature.

Now that October has gracefully faded and November begins to unfold, the rhythm of the city feels softer — still radiant, but a little more serene. The hurricane season slowly comes to an end, and we welcome the calm that follows. These weeks mark a beautiful transition between tropical storms and cozy moments. It’s the perfect time to let your floral arrangements reflect that change — bringing warmth, texture, and comfort into your home as we move toward the fall season.

One of the wonderful things about living in Miami is that most flowers are available all year round. Tulips and peonies may come and go with the seasons, but nearly every other bloom can be found at any time. Thanks to that abundance, many of my clients no longer follow seasonal color trends — instead, they choose flowers that match their personality, their mood, or the décor of their spaces. En Miami y el sur de la Florida vivimos rodeados de sol casi todo el año. Solo tenemos unos pocos días frescos — y cuando llegan, los celebramos con los brazos abiertos. Septiembre trajo mucha lluvia a la ciudad, refrescando nuestros jardines y llenando el aire con ese inconfundible aroma de la naturaleza.

Ahora que octubre se ha despedido con elegancia y noviembre comienza a desplegarse, el ritmo de la ciudad se siente más suave — aún radiante, pero un poco más sereno. La temporada de huracanes va llegando a su fin y damos la bienvenida a la calma que sigue. Estas semanas marcan una hermosa transición entre las tormentas tropicales y los momentos acogedores. Es el momento perfecto para permitir que tus arreglos florales reflejen ese cambio, aportando calidez, textura y confort a tu hogar mientras nos acercamos a la temporada otoñal.

Una de las maravillas de vivir en Miami es que la mayoría de las flores se pueden conseguir durante todo el año. Los tulipanes y las peonías pueden ser de temporada, pero casi todas las demás flores están disponibles en cualquier momento. Gracias a esa abundancia, muchos de mis clientes ya no siguen las tendencias tradicionales de color por estación; en cambio, eligen flores que reflejan su personalidad, su estado de ánimo o la decoración de sus espacios. Vivo en Brickell, rodeado de edificios y luces de ciudad, por eso los fines de semana son sagrados para mí. Me encanta escapar del concreto para disfrutar de espacios abiertos — jardines, parques o cualquier lugar donde pueda respirar y renovarme. Mi pareja y yo pasamos muchos fines de semana al aire libre, descubriendo nuevos rincones de Miami. Esos momentos en la naturaleza me llenan de inspiración para nuevos diseños.

El color de un atardecer en Key Biscayne, la textura de las hojas de palma en Coconut Grove o las cayenas meciéndose con la brisa cálida — esos son los detalles que encienden mi creatividad.

Los fines de semana también son el momento perfecto para restablecer la energía del hogar. Ya seas de los que disfrutan quedarse en casa o de los que aman salir, las flores pueden ayudarte a crear la atmósfera ideal para tu espíritu de fin de semana.

Para quienes prefieren quedarse en casa, recomiendo arreglos que se sientan festivos y acogedores — algo que convierta tu espacio en una celebración de la vida. Prueba con un centro de mesa de rosas, peonías y velas, o un jarrón con ranúnculos naranjas, gardenias y follaje verde. A medida que se acercan las fiestas, ya puedo sentir la emoción que se vive en toda la ciudad. Mis clientes renuevan sus jardines, redecoran sus salas y me llaman para llevar un toque de Alegría a sus hogares para el Día de Acción de Gracias y Navidad.

Esta es una de mis épocas favoritas del año — no por los regalos ni las fiestas, sino porque las flores tienen el poder de reunir a las familias. Un arreglo bien diseñado puede convertir una cena sencilla en una celebración llena de amor, gratitud y conexión.

Para Acción de Gracias, siempre animo a elegir flores que expresen unión, cariño y amistad. Piensa en tonos cálidos que llenen el corazón: rosas naranjas, crisantemos ámbar, lirios color cobre y girasoles dorados. Agrega eucalipto o hojas de magnolia para dar estabilidad, y si quieres simbolizar abundancia, incluye granadas o bayas. Estos arreglos crean una atmósfera de paz y bienvenida donde todos se sienten en casa.
