The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Eduardo Marturet, presented the innovative and scientific concert “Pulsing Symphonic Sounds” on Sunday, February 5th at the Adrienne Arsht Center – Knight Concert Hall.
Pulsing Symphonic Sounds
Bringing the power of music closer to its audiences, the Miami Symphony Orchestra developed an innovative concept that combined classical music and science. Pulsing Symphonic Sounds explored the boundaries of the connection between music and human beings, through “Magnetic Pulses for Singing Bowls and Orchestra” composed by Eduardo Marturet, a world premier.
The concert included two more world premieres: Florencia di Concilio’s “In the Light” and Karen LeFrak’s “Romantico,” performed by guitar sensation Nadia Kossinskaja. MISO also delighted the audience with Saint-Saëns’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso in A minor and Giuseppe Martucci’s Notturno op. 70. Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet closes the evening.
Unique experience
It was a unique experience, one that no other orchestra has offered yet. The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO), now in its historic 34th season, is Miami’s hometown professional symphony and a valuable contributor to Miami’s cultural fabric. With 80 professional musicians selected from around the world, MISO represents the exceptional talent and diversity that mirrors South Florida’s international and multicultural richness. With national and world premieres becoming more common, MISO is a source of growing local pride and support.
