Venezuelan designer, Samy Gicherman launched his Resort 2014 collection “Con la Cara al Viento” at the event “Green Fashion” at the Deuville Hotel in Miami Beach on July 12, 2013.

Gicherman’s collection is inspired by the reflection of the moon on the sea, and features pieces in fabrics such as: ‘Silk Charmeuse,’ ‘Silk Chiffon,’ ‘Georgette’ and ‘Silk Crepe’, which the designer compared with “air waves in feminine silhouettes undefined.”

The collection presented key pieces like: palazzo pants, transparent tunics, loose blouses and signature dresses with elegant and sexy lines that characterize Samy Gicherman in all his designs.

In the palette of colors, the traditional black and white predominated, as well as a variety of blues, such as: “Midnight blue” and “Blue B’dazzle” among others, and the “antique ruby” that gave the touch of sobriety to this fabulous limited edition collection.

The “fashion hit” of the collection was definitely the handmade braided belts– the ideal complement for his masterpieces.

“The reflection of the moon on the sea, is a relief of the universe to the feelings of the soul, which helps us to achieve a balance between drama and appreciation for the present perfect,” added Gicherman referring about his collection.
