]]>El evento fue organizado por el Fashion Group International of South Florida, reuniendo grandes fashionistas y personas influyentes de la ciudad quienes se dieron cita para conocer las últimas tendencias de la línea de Trina Turk y su colección de caballeros Mr. Turk.
La tarde transcurrió amena entre conversaciones sobre looks y estilos mientras los asistentes fueron consentidos con macarons y champaña.
Para los que aún no conocen Fashion Group International es una organización global sin fines de lucro con más de 5,000 miembros pertenecientes a la industria de la moda cuya misión es ayudar a sus miembros a ser más eficaces en sus carreras, proporcionando información sobre tendencias predominantes del mercado, ya sea en persona, online o impresos.

]]>After the concert by Miami Symphony Orchestra at Miami Design District, the party continued at the Dior boutique accompanied by delicious hors d’oeuvres and bubbly champagne.
Dior & its Spring/Summer 2017 Collection
At the shop, guests got to see the latest Christian Dior Couture. On display was the magical Spring/ Summer 2017 collection. Maria Grazia Chiuri the first female artistic director of Dior, wanted to bring her vision of femininity into her ready-to-wear pieces. One of the signature pieces from this collection are the basic white tees with the slogan “We Should All Be Feminists”.
This tee has brought up a lot of attention in the fashion world. Appearances were made by Athina & Eduardo Marturet ( Conductor of Miami Symphony), Rodner Figueroa (TV Host), and Venezuelan fashion designer, Nicolas Felizola.

Felizola says “I love how multi-cultured Miami is. It began as a dream for many of us. It’s a fusion of art & fashion and you see it everywhere! In the streets, in people and we can now see it’s a lot more tangible.”
He says that conductor Eduardo Marturet brought all these elements together along with talented voices. “Miami is a metropolis of people of all different races and that makes us very unique”.
When I asked him what the modern-day woman of today needs, he says “A lot of personality, to be able to portray any piece and feel confident in it.”
His most recent collection is titled “Nicolas Felizola Privé.” It is inspired on the personality of a woman that understands fashion as a way of living and creates her own sense of style.

Elysze Held talks about Gianni Versace’s influence
Stylist and owner of the firm “Style Out of the City,” Elysze Held also made an appearance. In a recent interview with Conrad Hotels she talks about how some high-end stores have relocated from South Beach to the Design District. She says that the biggest influence Miami had in terms of fashion is Gianni Versace. “Miami is now a mecca for art, fashion and food. Something that you couldn’t say about fifteen years ago,” said Elysze.
Miami Advancing in Architecture
Next, Interior designer Tessi Garcia, sister of Cuban-American actor Andy Garcia, also made an appearance. I got to chat a little bit about her work here in Miami. When asked about what has been some of her favorite work, she states “In 1990 I got to restore the Freedom Tower, where today Miami Dade College has all their events.
In more of her contemporary work, she designed all the South Point Towers in Miami Beach and the JADE Properties/ JADE Brickell. She also has worked with Jorge Perez and his properties including the Yacht Club of Miami.
She says “To see what the Design District has developed into what it is today… I’ve seen it reborn about three times. I’m glad that they’ve put this faith to make it happen. I take my hat off to Craig Robbins (CEO and Founder of Design District).”

]]>The shopping experience that took placed at Burberry Miami Design District Store showcased Burberry Spring/Summer 2016 Collections while guests had the opportunity to meet and greet the influential couple–guests were also pampered with traditional bubbles while they were able to peruse the latest trends of the season.
Last year, Athina Klioumi Marturet was featured in Miami’s most important magazines, including Ocean Drive Magazine where she was named as a “woman who flaunt the ultimate in Style.”

Encuentro Clásico con Burberry y Athina y Eduardo Marturet
Recientemente fuimos invitados a asistir a un “Encuentro clásico” con Burberry. Los anfitriones de este evento tan chic fueron Athina Klioumi Marturet (Embajadora de la MISO) y su esposo, el director de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Miami, Eduardo Marturet–una de nuestras parejas favoritas de Miami.
La experiencia de compras que se llevó a cabo en la boutique Burberry del “Miami Design District” exhibió las nuevas colecciones de Primavera / Verano 2016 de Burberry, mientras los invitados tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer y saludar a la pareja influyente – los asistentes fueron consentidos con las tradicionales burbujas, mientras curiosearon las últimas tendencias de la temporada.
El año pasado, Athina Klioumi Marturet fue publicada en las revistas más importantes de Miami, incluyendo la revista “Ocean Drive” donde fue nombrada como una “mujer que hace alarde de lo último en estilo.”

]]>On Thursday November 12 The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove welcomed Luna Francesca Scamuzzi, who flew in from Milan, Italy, exclusively to open her Lucifer Vir Honestus Flagship Store at this local hotel in our city of Miami. This designer specializes in Medieval time baroque shapes in an enigmatic spirit, all in one-of-a-kind pieces.
At thishe gorgeous boutique we gathered with local socialites and fashion mavens to celebrate and view the latest in Medieval Jewelry as interpreted by Luna. Very impressive finishes welcomed us throughout the event, Gothic-like designer vitrine and abstract artwork just enhanced our experience.

El jueves 12 de noviembre, el hotel The Ritz-Carlton de Coconut Grove en Miami, dió la bienvenida a la diseñadora Francesca Scamuzzi, quien voló desde Milán, Italia, para acudir a la apertura de la casa matriz de joyería exclusiva, “Lucifer Vir Honestus”. Esta diseñadora se especializa en piezas únicas en temas medievales y barroco con un espíritu enigmático.
En la hermosa boutique nos reunimos con muchos“socialites” locales y otros personajes del ámbito de la moda, quedó muy finamente decorada, con vitrinas estilo gótico y arte abstracto en las paredes–aunque minimalista realzó la experiencia de todos los presentes.
Lucifer Vir Honestus has gained popularity since some Hollywood big names have been seen wearing the jewels, like Olivia Wilde, Drew Barrymore, Fergie. We even spotted the girl next door Nikki Sap, photographed here, making an appointment to return in a more private setting, stylist model entrepreneur Ela Pruszynska was also caught by our lense with local Nacer Tazi.
Our dearest jewelry designer Ana Sofia Tarbay was pictured with blogger Caitlyn Rose, and we couldn’t leave without a stunning picture of the store – yes, that’s Sting back there!
