]]>The Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2025 collection arrives like a train at a beautifully imagined station—a symbolic platform where past and future meet, and emotion and design converge. Presented in a setting reminiscent of L’Étoile du Nord, a secret Parisian station from the 19th century, the collection evokes the romance, mystery, and excitement of rail travel. It’s not just a fashion show—it’s a journey. A journey into time, memory, and movement.

The runway transforms into a symbolic concourse. Here, the Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2025 collection narrates a series of emotional departures and arrivals:
The anticipation of leaving.
The heartbreak of goodbye.
The joy of return.
The thrill of discovery.
Each look is a ticket to a different feeling—layered, textured, and poetic. The show captures not just movement across geography but movement within the self.

Fashion and transportation merge in this concept-rich collection. The metaphor of the station is deeply connected to Louis Vuitton’s roots—the brand began by crafting elegant travel trunks for globe-trotting elites.
This season, Louis Vuitton revisits its origins by introducing a new soft-sided bag family, including:
The iconic Keepall.
The all-new “L’Express” bag – sleek, minimal, and inspired by soft tones and clean lines.
These pieces feel both archival and forward-thinking, speaking to the House’s vision of timeless luxury.

A standout moment of the collection is the unexpected and brilliant collaboration with Kraftwerk, the legendary electro group behind the 1977 album Trans-Europe Express.
This partnership links sound and style, with album art appearing on garments and the album’s futurist spirit influencing the entire show’s atmosphere. Kraftwerk’s minimalist, tech-driven aesthetic aligns beautifully with Nicolas Ghesquière’s vision for Louis Vuitton—a future-forward identity rooted in legacy.

The palette of the Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2025 collection blends soft, elegant hues: dusty rose, warm taupe, gentle grays, and icy blues. Tailoring is relaxed yet architectural, silhouettes are fluid, and layering is thoughtfully composed. From voluminous outerwear to streamlined knits, each piece feels designed to move—with the body, with time, and through space.

The Louis Vuitton Fall-Winter 2025 collection is not just a tribute to fashion—it’s a celebration of movement, connection, and emotion. It honors the House’s travel-driven history while setting its sights on an inspiring future. Whether you’re chasing discovery or finding comfort in return, this collection reminds us that fashion—like travel—is about the journey.

]]>On November 9, 2018, we attended the fashion event “B. Sustainable and B. Mindful Fashion Show and Awards Ceremony” at Bloomingdale’s Aventura Mall.
With the eco-slogan “Trends come and go, but we have only one planet on which we live” Bloomingdale’s teamed up for this occasion with Sachamama Organization – an organization that works to build support for a 100% clean energy economy for all, and sustainable attitudes, behaviors, and lifestyles within Latin communities.
Clarissa Molina, Entertainment reporter of Univision served as the emcee for the evening along with our beloved friend Jonathan Torres (Manager of Tourism & International Programs at Bloomingdale’s) who hosted a curated runway of sustainable eco-friendly and socially conscious fashion items across apparel and accessories.
The highlight of the night was the tribute to the Colombian Emmy-award-winner journalist, Vanessa Hauc, and the Argentinian singer-songwriter, Lola Ponce, who received recognition by Bloomingdale’s for taking personal action to foster love and respect nature, creating a sustainable planet.
At the end of the night, all the attendees had the opportunity to learn a little bit more about how to live our lives in the way that we can protect the environment for future generations and in this case, we also learned how to shop for fashionable clothes in mindful ways…
We had the blessing to gather one more year in a beautiful evening with amazing people such as fashion designers, bloggers, publicists, socialites, and very influential people from our community—people who are always supporting fashion in Miami.
Among the sponsors were Michis Restaurant (which was the hit of the night with its amazingly delicious vegan food), Ron Barcelo, 1865 Selected Vineyards, Karen Paba, Traffic Lifestyle & Fashion and Derma Clinic.
Congratulations Lola Ponce and Vanessa Hauc! Keep up the good work!

¡Felicitamos a Lola Ponce y Vanessa Hauc! ¡Que continúen con el buen trabajo!

]]>This Miami Beach based organization, led by fashion industry veteran Celia Evans, has been gaining a lot of attention through the years with its events. Its productions are great, delivering content and highlighting the exclusive world of luxury fashion from around the globe, including NY, Paris, Milan, London, and Miami, of course.
This year, The Planet Fashion showcased more than a dozen of the top designers throughout the weekend celebrating 2018’s empowerment of women at the iconic Loews Miami Beach Hotel.
We loved the runway shows and the whole organization. They truly know what they are doing! The beautifully coordinated runways featured international brands from Germany, Bulgaria, Jamaica, Switzerland, Venezuela, Trinidad, and Australia, as well as American brands from around the country, including Miami, Nashville, Chicago, and Oklahoma.
Check out some of the hottest brands that were part of the Planet Fashion TV 2018.

Designed and created in Bulgaria, this swimwear line is the largest swimwear brand in Eastern Europe. Paramidonna accentuates the confidence, femininity, and individuality behind strong women.

Created in Venezuela by Silvanna Isaacs, Antigua Collection is a versatile brand with a Latin flair developed to fit every type of woman, regardless of size, shape, or age. To Silvanna, it is all about looking fresh and effortlessly elegant. The great fabric choices and flawless finishing to each piece make Antigua stand out on this year’s runways.

In line with the theme of 2018 is Lascana Swimwear “It’s a woman’s World.” Lascana is one of the largest brands presented at the Planet Fashion Swim Week shows this year. Taking notes from its parent brand, Venus Swimwear (one of the largest swimwear brands in the world), Lascana recently aligned with Alessandra Ambrosio to be the face of the brand. The Brazilian model and Victoria’s Secret Angel was once named People Magazine’s “100 Most Beautiful People.”

Designed by Anna Newsome, this swimwear line is a contemporary art-based brand that embodies class and sex appeal, designed with striking lines that contour the female form and give an international feel. Akosha is made with their signature cuts of translucent vinyl along with scuba neoprene and sport Lycra. The collection is flavored with electric colors of neon orange, hot pink, iridescent, and pristine whites. The vision of Akosha is to bring the future of bikinis to the present in every pool party setting. The bathing suits are hand-crafted in Miami Florida and inspired by the sexy women that thrive on the sun, sand, ocean, and opulent lifestyle.

This is a swimwear line that boldly aims at pushing past the norm and bringing out both your flirtatious and wild side. Created in 2018 by Heather Hilliard, a North Carolina native who moved to Miami to study Fashion Design at Miami International University of Art & Design. Living in Miami for six years, she loved how different, yet widely accepted, the fashion world is there and wanted to create something that she felt was missing in swimwear–being original and unique is the goal!

This runway was announced as a surprise of the night! The collection showcased animal prints as signature pieces, along with pieces that highlight a palette of colors: Black, hot orange, gold, blue and white– the runway was a big hit!

]]>The post Planet Fashion Swim Weekend Showcases the Dawn of a New Era in Swimwear Design appeared first on Miami Fashion Spotlight.
]]>The inaugural Planet Fashion Swim Weekend took place Thursday, July 20th through Saturday, July 22nd at the renowned SLS South Beach, featuring exclusive presentations by Roberto Cavalli Swimwear, Nash Beach, Revel Rey, DSquared2, Karma Bikinis, OMG Miami Swimwear, Just Bones Boardwear, Gabriela Pires Beachwear and Art Hearts Fashion. Each show presented the latest styles for Spring—Summer 2018 collections as part of an eclectic showcase that marked a new era for the swimwear fashion industry.
“Our debut year of Planet Fashion Swim Weekend is truly the shape of things to come,” says Celia Evans, founder and CEO of Planet Fashion. “This first year brought together an extremely unique and eclectic selection of some of today’s most progressive designers who are making a massive impact on the industry. Our three-night showcase gave audiences a special preview showing how diverse and innovative these swimwear brands have become with their creativity and vision.
We wanted to present a unique assortment of both established swimwear brands that represent today’s leading designers, together with the very best from Miami who are also making a statement within the industry nationwide. Our world class production gave Swim Week in Miami the jolt it needed to set a new standard for a more exciting, accessible and less conservative series of shows that both the general swimwear enthusiast and industry aficionado can relate to and appreciate. We would like to thank all of our sponsors and followers for helping to make our annual event such an amazing success.”

The Opening Night on Thursday, July 20th featured individual runway presentations by Roberto Cavalli Swimwear, Nash Beach and the massively popular Revel Rey by Washington based designer, Audrey Swanson. Nash Beach by designer and musician, Doug Barry, presented an “Old Fashioned Americana” themed show that took the audience back to the roots of the country’s melting pot of southern USA.
His designs brought together a retro 1960s classic rock style of swimwear, complete with a Nashville sounding rock ‘n roll soundtrack to go with the runway show.

Revel Rey by Audrey Swanson presented a chic Tribal Warrior theme, complete with printed ethnic designs and patterned swimsuits that maintained the brand’s high-end luxury image.
Models wore gold and multi-colored tribal face paint and tattoos to embellish the tribal theme. Roberto Cavalli Swimwear represented the global heiress of today with a jungle-like theme, featuring dark forest greens and browns with long, flowing cover-ups to resemble a chic woman of international sophistication.

The Main Event on Friday, July 21st featured runway presentations from DSquared2, Karma Bikinis and OMG Miami Swimwear. Julienne Worring and Antje Worring of Karma Bikinis presented a themed show resembling the Polynesian goddess, with Asian and Indonesian inspired designs, complete with Asian and Filipino models wearing headpieces made with fresh flowers. A Balinese-inspired collection was intended to reflect the sister’s Indonesian roots and childhood.

OMG Miami Swimwear by Andrea Gaviria made a head-turning impact, with an extravagant space-age Barberella meets the eighties themed show, featuring swimsuits made from plastic and textiles considered groundbreaking for the swimsuit industry, that included low-hanging straps and chains fixed to a number of swimsuits that gave a fierce-looking decoration.
DSquared2 presented a highly anticipated show for men and women, reflecting the west coast Californian culture and LA hipster. The men wore trunks with bold statements on the rear, while swimsuits for women resembled the bohemian girl.

The Designer Showcase on Saturday, July 22nd featured especially selected runway presentations by Just Bones Boardwear, Gabriela Pires Beachwear and Art Hearts Fashion. Just Bones Boardwear – the brand known for “Reinventing The Boardshort” by Jennifer Weisman, garnered attention with a themed show of male and female swimwear that reflected the designer’s upbringing in South Florida.
Colorful east coast styles brought a flashback to the eighties, with models styled with retro hair and makeup along with accompanying music by Michael Jackson and Prince to mark the eighties theme and designer’s favorite decade in Miami.

Gabriela Pires Beachwear by Gabriela Pires evoked a very feminine theme, with subtle yet chic styles that resembled the delicacy of a ballerina. A number of models wore a flowered corsage that reflected an old world fifties and sixties style of European sophistication and elegance.
Arts Hearts Fashion by founder Erik Rosete, presented a broad selection of styles by more than six international designer brands from around the world.

Art Hearts Fashion is known as a leading platform for designers and artists to showcase their collections in a contemporary fashion week setting, with shows held coast to coast as a national platform for the arts and fashion community.

]]>This season’s inspiration drew from black and white African-inspired prints to modern muted and vibrant-colored animal prints such as peacock feathers and leopard patterns, as well as vivacious-colored floral prints and embroideries and sophisticated and rich multicolor geometric prints.
The brand presented a collection featured globally inspired bold and eye-catching tribal prints in stunning colors with cheeky sheer inserts and cutouts and strappy macramé. Futuristic black, silver, strappy and sexy styles shined on dramatic one-shoulder and high-necklines.
The classic color palette was updated to include deep wines and forest greens, as well as beautiful and bold blues, and corals on new off-the-shoulder ruffle designs, strappy deep-V’s and braided cutouts.

The new Couture subcategory was a continuation of the Jewel Box 60th Anniversary Collection. Couture used the most unique and luxurious Italian fabrics, embroideries and techniques to make women feel exceptionally glamorous and elegant.
This collection included elegant fabric and luxurious lace in black, gold, bronze and the unique combination of black and white.
We truly loved the details of these pieces! The collection was extremely detailed with interesting cuts that flattered the figure.
Some styles included exclusive embroideries and lace, as well as unique glitter prints and silver lamination. Sexy backs, one shoulders, and strap details were a strong motif in the collection.
We almost forgot, the presentation was important too! Each Couture collection style is sold with an exclusive box and a unique golden hangtag describing the limited-edition product.

Screams and applause filled the tent as the first male model appeared from backstage in the world’s most handsome daddy and me pair. The debut of Lila’s children’s collection was surely love at first sight. Next, it was mama’s turn, and this mommy and me pair slayed down the runway with the signature Lila Nikole ponytail sway.
The entire collection was accessorized with gold and silver shoes, sneakers for the men and wedges for the women and colorful polarized sunnies for an amazing beach cool kid swag.

The Lila Nikole Collection is quickly becoming one of the fastest rising brands in the swimwear industry. ]]>The post Lisu Vega presenta colección ‘Resistencia’ appeared first on Miami Fashion Spotlight.

Check it out!

]]>After the magical touch of Antonio Banderas in 2016, by being the honorary president of the organization, a new revamped feel was added to the shows, making them even more glamorous for this year’s events. Antonio Banderas returned with fascinating shows and a gala to benefit Miami’s Children Health Foundation. Unfortunately, the only sad news was that almost all the most important shows were by invitation only; something that left many fashionistas a bit disappointed.
And now to the fun part! What’s that? The actual shows that were better than last year and the outstanding trends of course! The fashion week opened with Silvia Tcherassi and her ultra-elegant, feminine and chic designs. Famous names like Custo Barcelona, Agatha Ruiz De La Prada, Rene Ruiz and my personal favorite Angel Sanchez who is from Venezuela like me, made their appearance.
The trends that caught everyone’s eye including mine, were fun, sexy and sometimes edgy. Let’s see the best of them!
Miami Fashion Week 2017 was all about the shoulders! And we couldn’t have been happier, as this trend is the best way to make a woman feel sexy without revealing too much skin. We saw off-the-shoulder styles, cold shoulders and generally garments that expose this part of the body. Silvia Tcherassi, Angel Sanchez and Rene Ruiz were some of the designers who presented this trend through gorgeous ruffled blouses or chic bardot dresses.

Edgy prints were there to satisfy the most fashion forward people that want to be the center of attention with their style choices. The pattern that made a real difference on the catwalks was the piano key print for sure. It was featured in midi skirts and dresses, and gave a super playful look. Shantall Lacayo was one of the designers that incorporated this trend.

Fun details that transform a piece into art like feathers and metallic sparkly details were shown from designers like Angel Sanchez and Rene Ruiz. The outcome? Phenomenal.

Custo Barcelona and Agatha Ruiz De La Prada made a point by adding happy, bold colors to their collections. Colors like bright oranges, red and fuchsia were shown that are just perfect for summer season.

Chang also included unique couture pieces that were specifically designed for the show and are only available locally in Miami.
In the past retail customers, have had to wait six months or longer to purchase the fashions they see on the runway. However, as Julian stated; “Technology is advancing and as a consequence the industry is evolving, and we all need to recognize that our clients’ expectations are changing.
To remain relevant, we designers need to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. Consequently, we are making our designs available to our clients in “real time”; “what they see, is what they can get”; now, when they want it and are excited about having just seen it on the runway.”
Julian is currently showing his Fall/Holiday Collection along with some of the designs that will be in his Spring Collection.

Young designer Francesca Aiello wanted to pump up the volume and have fun! Inspiration was found in the psychedelic 60’s – an era of social, musical, and artistic change.
Francesca also wanted women to feel beautiful and empowered when they put on a Frankie’s bikini–nothing says female empowerment like the 1960’s. This is when the bikini finally became accepted into women’s lives!
This fashion show was our favorite show of Swim Week Miami 2016.
Congratulations Francesca, keep up the good work!

]]>Designer Gionni Straccia, a well-recognized figure in the couture fashion world, debuted last week his first collection ever; the “Gionni Straccia Spring 2017 Collection”. The fashion show took place during the “Mother’s Day Sponsor-a-Child Luncheon and Bazaar”; a non-profit event organized by the ladies from the Women International Zionist Organization (WIZO Florida), in the ballroom of the Beth Torah, Benny Rok Campus, located in the city of Miami.
With an inspiration that blended romance and femininity, Gionni Straccia Spring 2017 set the runway for exclusive designs that revealed the richness of a flower – expressing the sweetness and tenderness that flow from it- but highlighting a touch of excitement for the subtle, elegant and tasteful woman.
More than 300 guests were entertained while fabulous models, that included one Miss Universe, showcasing the new clothing collection dominated by the use of two Straccia’s favorites: crepes silk and laces. Also, Italian tulle and organza embellished exquisite dresses, most of them with artistic embroidered and hand-painted flowers. Keeping with the trending cape dress, the designer offered a complete collection of stunning short cocktail dresses, pants suits, and evening gowns, that came in white, black, red, pink, and navy colors. Responding to a woman’s dressing needs for the different occasions in her life, Straccia added to the collection an astonishing wedding dress that left guests impressed by the beauty and elegance of this piece.
Known for elegance and made-to-measure inimitable styles among the most important beauty pageants, Straccia is starting a new stage in his successful career; most importantly, with the recent opening of his private atelier in the United States. The Italian-Venezuelan designer is excited with the accomplishment of his very first full collection, “I am really very happy with the outcome. I wanted to express women’s romanticism, femininity and their sweetness,” said Straccia,“and I tried to rescue a technique of hand-painted flowers, to be in tune with the latest fashion trends, but highlighting the indelible Gionni Straccia stamp”.
The WIZO Florida, “Sponsor-a-Child” event included a bazaar with an exclusive diverse group of exhibitors that showcased beautiful pieces in jewelry, decorative items, clothing and many other accessories. As part of its annual gathering, WIZO Florida honored one of its members with a ‘Mother of the Year’ award. This time the privilege went to Colombian native, Margie Szerer, for exemplifying a WIZO woman, dedicated to her family, committed to Israel and a true leader for WIZO Florida.
“We are very proud to have presented renowned designer Gionni Straccia’s spring 2017 Collection at our ‘Mother’s Day Sponsor a Child’ fundraising event” said Suzanne Berkovits Harper, Director of WIZO Florida. “This event has grown each year and has become an icon in our community and one of the premier Mother’s Day events in South Florida, honoring and remembering mothers while benefiting women and children in need in Israel.”

Allerton opened the fashion presentation featuring sporty looks with exclusive light reflective prints along with very chic black and white pieces and unforgettable nautical stripe designs, pieces that never go out of style.

Jewels + Grace closed the show with a fresh collection where sculpted lines became the modern classic. The palette of color was blue, black, and white along with playful prints herald sprightly hues of tangerine and bottle green. We fell in love with the beach cover up pants, the perfect street style outfit for an “it girl” and must have for the season!

Both brands spotted summer shoe trends from Forever 21’s current collection, complementing the brand looks. We heard that was a way of paying tribute to the recent partnership that both brands have with Forever 21.
