Miami Fashion Week celebrates 15th anniversary, spotlighting best designers around the world

Miami Fashion Week marked their 15th Anniversary this year, hosting over 60 designers from 25 countries who showed their latest collections in twelve multi-designer runway shows at the Miami Beach Convention Center, March 20th through 24th.

This year, Miami Fashion Week honored Carlos Miele with the International Designer of the Year Award on March 20th to kick off the week. Miele, known for his creative convergence of cut and design in conjunction with combinations of craft and luxury influenced by his Brazilian roots, counts celebrities including Rihanna, Blake Lively, and Beyoncé as fans.

Additional featured designers included Peru’s Itala Testino, Raafia Husain from Pakistan, Heather Jones from Trinidad & Tobago, SEEN by Sumayyah Al Suwaidi-Dubai, Dusko Orascanin-Bosnia & Herzegovina, Mike Sylla for Baïfall Dream-Africa, Dolcevita Cashmere by Veronica Zorzi-Italy, Denim Down by Andrew Payne-USA, I Love Fashion TV Collection-Global, Julian Chang, Viviana G. for Petit Pois, Nicolas Felizola, Art of Shade by Kayce Armstrong, Fabrizio de Castro, Erin Healy, Lisu Vega, Fadila Kihel-Algeria, Duchesa by Robin Fleming, Spain’s Rosalinda Quesada Silva, Ecuador’s Carolina Lopez, Mathilde D’Apuzzo-Venezuela, Danielle Queller, Chile’s Claudia Anicy Manuguian, Italy’s Davmani by Marie Fortin, Damiano Marini, Francesca Lodi, Marco Calamassi for Luxus Italy, Azzurre F.A. Fashion, MacchiaJ., and many more.

The designers’ latest collections were shown throughout the week, while the jewelry and accessory marketplace was featured in the Convention Center’s “Fashion City,” comprised of gourmet cafés with celebrity chefs, international designer pop-up shops, a luxury wedding pavilion showcasing international bridal designers and sponsor lounges.

7- Excellence in Accessories Award – Sol Filippi / Venezuela
8- Celebrity Style Award – Norka
9- International Designer of the Year – Carlos Miele / Brazil
10-International Bridal Designer of the Year – Rosa Clará / Spain.
