Miami Swim Week 2016 was a little complicate to cover since the biggest sponsor Mercedes-Benz pulled out this year, along with IMG, the main organizing company, allowing a lot of different companies to produce the shows.  In consequence, we received invitations out of the beach area (first time that something like this happens) and some of the shows were at the same time in different locations, making it impossible for us to do our job. The worst part was that some of the shows didn’t start on schedule, not allowing us enough time to attend the next ones, and some models even lost their next shows–we still managed to cover some fashion shows and we were able to enjoy the ride because in this fashion business “the show must go on!”

This brand introduced its swimsuit and lingerie Resort Spring 2016 collection, showcasing French style designs in red, white, nude and animal prints along with a few bold retro pieces such as 80’s high waisted thongs that were the highlight of the show. The collection was complemented with black cover-ups in very light fabrics such as mesh and lace.

Creative director Wilber Tellez hit Miami Swim Week with Filthy Haanz 2016 Swim Bollywood Collection showcasing very sophisticated designs in turquoise and pure white along with multicolor stripes prints accentuating the hot pink color. The Montreal based fashion brand closed the show with a gorgeous two-piece bikini with a nude top encrusted with stones, bringing a little Indian touch to the runway.

By the way we loved the philosophy of this brand, its symbols a hand as the meaning of FILTHY HAANZ. Its creator termed “a filthy hand” as the ultimate tribute to work and creation, the foundation of life. Very philanthropic!
