After their first jewel THE MOONGLADE launched on the Earth Day (April 22nd), Siddhi and A.D Desai – Chief Visionary, Artistic Director and CEO of I AM THE OCEAN (the new manifesto brand designed to create conscious change) – unveiled to the world THE SUHAAN- the gender neutral bag.
Named after two jewels of the universe, THE SUHAAN name comes from the combination of the names of the daughter Suhaana and son Vihaan of the IATO Creators. Suhaana + Vihaan = THE SUHAAN to highlight the importance of gender equality, and hence, gender neutrality. The feminine name is Suhaana, which means “silky, soft, smooth, and beautiful” and is combined with masculine name Vihaan, which means “first rays of the sun at dawn” or “a new beginning”.
Two Forces: Femininity and Masculinity
“The journey of life is shared by femininity and masculinity, the two forces that are essential to keep life alive and to keep the universe in balance” begins Siddhi Desai – “To bring about gender equality in a way that leads to gender neutrality, the name Suhaana evolved to be THE SUHAAN, which enables both femininity and masculinity to meet at the junction where physicality dissolves into formless divine energy.
